Role: UX Designer
Created: 2019 - 2021
Summary: Ane is a 3D-printed persona created to make machine learning more accessible. By embodying complex concepts like neural networks, she helped non-technical professionals understand and engage with AI projects. Used in research and design processes, Ane supported shared understanding in early project phases and became a relatable symbol of intelligent, data-driven insight.
Ane was created as a 3D printed personas for machine learning.
She helped people understand how machine learning algorithms work and what the people could expect of results from the algorithms.
This led to early thrust among people with less technical knowledge but more professional knowledge to quicker gain machine learning knowledge and actively join into projects.
We brought Ane into research and customer projects where she quickly got identified as the individual who handled the complex algorithms and predicted the results.
By specializing in neural networks she uses her digital brain to learn patterns from data by mimicking how neurons fire in the human mind. They connect layers of tiny decisions-makers that work together to recognize patterns and predict choices whilst
learning from examples and not instructions.
This is reflected in her name: Ane, meaning: a vague premonition, or a faint feeling of something without concrete evidence.
By using design thinking and methods such as double diamond, Ane would be referred to with possibilities in discover phases and restrictions in defining phases. Providing a shared understanding of the processes going forward.
Ane made machine learning more accessible.
